Principles of Treatment Processes

Antifungal Performance Standards

1. Chemical Penetration Treatment
Environment-friendly antifungal agents (such as copper quaternary ammonium salt CuAQ and boric acid) are injected into bamboo fibers under high pressure to disrupt fungal cell metabolism and prevent spore germination.
2. Thermal Modification Treatment
High temperature (180–230°C) is used to alter the cellular structure of bamboo, reducing its water absorption and creating an environment where fungi can hardly survive.
3. Nano-Coating Technology
Nano-layers of titanium dioxide or silver ions are attached to the bamboo surface, inhibiting microbial reproduction through oxidative stress or ion release.

In compliance with international testing specifications (e.g., ASTM D1757, ISO 846), after 12–16 weeks of fungal exposure testing:

Mass loss ≤10%, with no obvious mycelium growth or structural degradation.

Antifungal grade reaches Grade 3 (the highest level), suitable for extremely humid environments (such as tropical regions and swimming pool perimeters).
